Pre-marital group for Florida: This course is at least 4 hours and is built for couples applying for a Florida marriage license. Topics include communication, conflict, money, and the expectations you have not said out loud. A licensed marriage and family therapist provides the course. Completion comes with a certificate. Under Florida law, that certificate reduces the marriage license fee by $32.50. For Florida residents, it may also waive the three-day waiting period. The provider must be registered with the clerk of court in the county where you apply, and counties are not identical. Bring the certificate to the clerk and confirm the fee and the waiting period for your county before you count on either one.
